Working parents need a reliable child care solution during those several hours after school ends and they are able to pick up their child(ren).   During that same time, children need a safe and nurturing place  to unwind from a long school day, begin homework, play, and build relationships.

Parents can rest assured that the safety, health and well-being of their child(ren) is being attended to in a home registered with the State of Texas.  Registered child care  providers must:

· Pass a criminal background check

· Be certified in infant/child CPR and first aid

· Complete 20 hours of training annually

· Be inspected by the Child Care Licensing Division of the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services every 1-3 years, or as needed to investigate any reported violation of minimum standards.

I am presently going through the registration process.  I will post updates as needed until my after school child care registration process is complete.  The process takes several months, but I anticipate being registered by August 2006.
